Rajendra Kumar J. is a youngster from Davangere who started his journey of social service about 15 years ago with a vision of serving the under privileged and people in the need of medical help. He is involved not only in social service but also in the field of art and culture. Born in Davangere City in 27-11-1984, Rajendra Kumar is fondly known as 'Raju'. He has been organizing Blood donation camps, Medical camps, Ambulance services for the needy, helping many orphanages, Blind schools, schools for Physically and mentally challenged children and Goshala with regular funds. He is actively involved in organizing artificial legs fixing camps for people who have lost their legs, has helped many Deaf and Dumb children to purchase Hearing aids, organizes regular fund raising programmes for Hemophilia patients, old age homes for medicines & the list goes on.
His service to the society is recognised and honoured by Dr. Shamanur Shivashankarappa, Former Minister of Horticulture, Karnataka , by Sri S.S. Mallikarjun, Former Minister of Davangere and organizations like CK Speech and Hearing Center, Dept. of Empowerment of Differently abled & Senior Citizen Ramdev Mitra Mandal, Pandamatti Swamiji Ashram, Rajasthani Youth Federation, Life Line, Davangere City Corporation and many more...
Rajendra kumar is a friend for the person in need. He is available for people 24 x 7. Even if it’s mid night, He is a helping hand for the people who have lost their dear ones too. He also helps to cremate many orphan dead bodies as he believes that everybody deserves respectful cremation.
Raju is a great lover of Art and Culture and he is involved in organizing regular cultural shows with 'Chirantana’ an academy of performing arts, Davanagere. He is also known for his yearly Dandia programmes. He does all the social works under the umbrella of his “Riddhi Siddhi Foundation” which has been actively involved into various social and public platforms.
Without any expectation for rewards or recognition, Raju's service to the society from past 15 years is incredible. He thrives to reach more and more people in need and hopes that he gets all the support.
